CyberSec First Responder (CFR) - Now a Required Certification

The concept of a Cyber EMT is powerful. Anyone can be first to respond, but not everyone can respond effectively. CyberSec First Responders (CFR) are trained to keep the patient alive and minimize the damage.

As of July 6, 2017, the recently established CyberSec First Responder Certification was approved as a DOD 8570 IA baseline certification. Among the current family of required cyber training, CFR takes a giant leap forward in empowering IT professionals to play a critical role in protecting the organization.

CyberSec First Responder course serves both role-based and cross functional training objectives; the training provides IT professionals with needed skills before, during, and after a security breach. CFR training is well suited to help individuals serve in key roles dealing with Cybercrimes, forensics, defense analysis, and incident response as well as threat communications.

CFR National Initiative. National Resilience Depends on Bold Cybersecurity Leaders.

Here is what we are doing.  Tyche Consulting, LLC is involved in a national effort to build resilient cybersecurity workforce. Specifically, our goal is to attract new talent, train, and certify a national workforce of Cyber Security First Responders. We are working with businesses of all sizes, industry leaders, government mission owners, law enforcement, academic institutions, and interested cyber professionals to prepare for the next generation of cyber threats.
